1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using this website and booking a Managing What Matters course, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Course Booking and Payment

Booking Process

  • All bookings are made via Stripe and require payment in full
  • A confirmation email will be sent with course details, access information, and materials
  • Bookings are processed in the order received; places are limited and filled on a first come, first served basis

Payment

  • Payment is due in full at the time of booking
  • All prices are in British Pounds (GBP) and include course fees
  • VAT is added to the stated price
  • Refunds are subject to the refund policy below

Refund Policy

Full Refund (100%)

Cancellation more than 30 days before the course start date

Partial Refund (50%)

Cancellation between 14-30 days before the course start date

No Refund

  • Cancellation less than 14 days before the course start date
  • Non-attendance without prior notice

Rescheduling

You may reschedule to a future cohort within 12 months at no additional cost (subject to availability)

3. Course Delivery

In-Person Courses

  • Held at a venue in Central Scotland
  • Running times: 9:30am – 4pm
  • You are responsible for your own travel and accommodation
  • A laptop or device may be required for some activities

Online Courses

  • Delivered via Zoom
  • Running times: 9am – 1:30pm
  • You will receive Zoom links 48 hours before each session
  • A reliable internet connection and quiet space are required
  • Recordings are made available to participants for 12 months after the course

Participant Expectations

  • Attend all six sessions (absence may affect learning outcomes)
  • Participate actively in discussions and group work
  • Come prepared to engage with real workplace scenarios
  • Respect confidentiality and diversity of other participants

4. Course Materials and Intellectual Property

  • Course materials are provided for your personal use only
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell course materials without prior written consent
  • Materials remain the property of Managing What Matters
  • You may take personal notes for your own use

5. Accessibility and Reasonable Adjustments

If you require reasonable adjustments due to disability or access needs, please contact us at least 14 days before your course starts to discuss what we can offer.

6. Code of Conduct

Participants agree to:

  • Treat facilitators and other participants with respect and professionalism
  • Participate in a harassment-free environment
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding other participants' information and examples
  • Not record or photograph other participants without consent
  • Adhere to any venue or platform (Zoom) policies

Violations of this code may result in removal from the course without a refund.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Managing What Matters shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
  • Damages resulting from use or inability to use the course or website

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the course.

8. Disclaimer

The course is provided "as is" without any warranties. While we strive to deliver high-quality training, we do not guarantee specific business outcomes or results. Success depends on your implementation and organisational context.

9. Cancellation of Courses

Managing What Matters reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule a course due to:

  • Insufficient enrolment numbers
  • Unforeseen circumstances (weather, facility issues, etc.)
  • Force majeure events

If a course is cancelled, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to join a future cohort.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Managing What Matters, its facilitators, and employees from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your misuse of course materials
  • Your violation of applicable laws

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland, UK, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there.

12. Limitation Period

Any legal action or proceeding related to these Terms must be commenced within one year after the cause of action arises, or it shall be barred.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Managing What Matters regarding the course and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of our website or booking constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
